Sun Damaged Skin?
Do you have rough, pink to reddish, scaly, flaking spots on your face or scalp that won’t heal? If you do, it is important to see a dermatologist. These spots may be skin pre-cancers, knows as actinic keratosis (AKs). Forefront Clinical Research is evaluating an investigational topical medication for AKs.
Actinic Keratosis Study –
This is a Phase 3 study for anyone 18 years and older. To qualify, subjects must have 4-8 AKs in a 25cm area on their face or scalp. Subjects may receive the gel form of Ingenol, Picato, or a placebo – 1:1:1. If subjects qualify for the study they will…
- Make 6 visits over an 8 week period – Visit 1 – Screening/BL – HAS TO BE ON A MONDAY;
Visit 2 (Day 4) – HAS TO BE ON A THURSDAY; Visit 3 (DAY 8); Visit 4 (Day 15); Visit 5 (Day 29); Visit 6 (Day 57) - Subjects will apply the topical gel 1 time each day for 3 days. Medication needs to be stored in a refrigerator.
- Subjects will be compensated for their time and travel – $50 each visit.
These medications may leave the skin very red, irritated, and in some cases it may be painful. Subjects are allowed to take ibuprofen and use ice on the treatment area.
